Proselec have developed an intensive vocational training course designed to provide operators with the necessary skills to ensure the correct handling of machinary and thereby providing significant benefits to both client and user. The staff qualified to run these Rapiscan machine operator courses impart a level of understanding sufficiently comprehensive to be able to distinguish a camouflaged explosive by means of a detailed knowledge of its composition and essential parts.

OPERATOR TRAINING PROGRAMME

The RAPISCAN operator training programme is an intensive vocational course a cut above more conventional user and operator training programmes (whose duration is usually about 4 hours) and is essentially presented with a view to providing operators with sufficient knowledge to enable a precise interpretation of radiographic images thereby capacitating operators to quickly and easily identify the shapes, colours and details that form booby traps or similar explosive devices.

The training programme for RAPISCAN operators involves 16 hours of study and is based on the following syllabus:

• Use and operation of the machinary.
• Configuration options of the machinary.
• Configurable options.
• Image contrast and evaluation alternatives.
